Advancement Project serves as critical infrastructure for the racial justice movement to achieve lasting and permanent change through deep collaboration with national and community partners. Our theory of change hinges on two planes; first, we work on our issues on a national level to push for change across the board and second, we go deep in local partnerships to advocate for individual campaigns.
One of the most valuable capacities we bring to the work is the ability to convene local partners working on similar campaigns. On one level, these convenings allow our partners the opportunity to learn from one another, sharing strategies and gathering inspiration from others at various stages of their campaigns. On another, they create safe spaces for partners to dream big about the systemic changes they would like to see, building a shared vision that can undergird all local campaigns.
